A sweet & simple gesture to show the Moms how loved they are. & Moms everywhere we think you rock!
Of course, if you want to go all out or you’ve a bit more time on hand or just can’t sit with the guilt of using shop bought shortbread (🤣🤣🤣) here’s my fav shortbread recipe to whip up instead!
Utterly Buttery Shortbread:
100g butter – soft & cubed
50g caster sugar
180g plain flour
1 tbsp of milk (may or may not be needed)
Icing sugar to dust the tops
Pop the butter & sugar into a bowl & beat for a couple of mins until pale & fluffy.
Tip in the flour & beat until it looks like fine breadcrumbs – you may need to add 1 tbsp of milk just to bring your dough together.
Tip onto a floured surface, dust the top with more flour & roll out to 3/4cm thick. Cut out rounds & bake for 12 – 14 minutes until golden.
Allow to cool fully before assembling as above.
